May 2018 Goals
Am I the only one who is not completely surprised at how fast 2018 is flying by? The first quarter of 2018 was an okay one. I have had a lot of recurring ideas and thoughts. I think the Lord is trying to tell me something. I haven’t did a monthly goal post in a while so I felt that it was time I attempted to get back into them. So far there is not too much on my May calendar, at least in my personal life. Professionally, I have a lot going on.
Put ideas on paper
My goal is to get these ideas in my head on paper. I definitely need to pray over them. Asking for guidance, time, and a proper vision.
Finish decorating my apartment
Before moving into my apartment I was really excited to start decorating. I had thoughts and ideas pinned to my Pinterest board. However, when I finally moved, going out to home decor shop is last on my list. Not because I don’t want to, but just because honestly I’m always tired. Don’t get me wrong, I do it little by little. I’m just tired of waiting on me.
Start reading more
I have honestly really slacked on my hand held book reading. I generally will get a few pages read on my Nook app during my lunch break and maybe 5 minutes before bed. However, I can’t remember when I last picked up Black Privilege. Not because I didn’t like it (so far I do), but I’m just busy. I hate to say that, but picking up a book is the last thing on my list.
Prep for Licensure Exam
Okay, I’ll be honest, this one is really a stretch. I have a while before I will take my LCSW licensure exam. However, I am currently in supervision, so I do want to start being better prepared for that. Hopefully starting an assignment that I am given sooner rather than the day before (let’s be honest, the day of) the following supervision.
Learn about stocks
I really want to learn more about stocks and ETFs and all that goes into this. One day I would like to be able to put money into this type of stuff so it’s important to learn as much as you can.
Devotional and prayer journal
I need to become more consistent in reading my devotional daily. I also plan to start searching for a good prayer journal. Even though I pray and talk to the Lord daily, I want to have something that I can go to in order to reread the things I prayed about and the blessings He gave me.
I need to be better prepared. I am so last minute, it is embarrassing. Please don’t judge me.
What are some of your goals for the month of May?
